Be a wraparound childcare provider

Wraparound childcare is term-time care for primary school-aged children, before and after the school day, usually from 8am to 6pm. Providing wraparound childcare at your setting places you at the heart of the community. You will be providing a valuable service for families- helping them balance work or other commitments while knowing their child is well cared for in a safe, familiar setting.

Funding available

Funding is available for a limited time to help schools and childcare providers to deliver wraparound childcare- don’t miss out!

Funding can be used for:

• New or expanded provision
• Start-up and running costs
• Staffing and staff training
• Resources, equipment, and transport

Offering wraparound childcare at your setting can:

• Support families manage commitments with reliable childcare
• Strengthen community ties by offering a valuable service
• Attract new families and raise your profile
• Enhance learning and well-being through extended activities
• Increase income to reinvest in your provision

How to apply

• Complete Expression of Interest form by 8th June 2026
• Viable projects will be asked to submit a full funding application
